Vice President and General Manager

During his tenures with Armstrong World Industries and Interface Solutions Inc., Thomas M. Tymon played a vital role in increasing each organization’s operational efficiency. After holding positions in manufacturing, R&D, technology management and business management, Mr. Tymon was appointed vice president of Armstrong’s Textile Products Operations in 1997. Here, he directed worldwide marketing and technology, and was responsible for all business activities including manufacturing, sales, logistics and finance for the Western Hemisphere. When Armstrong sold its Textile Products Operations to Day International Inc., Mr. Tymon had significant involvement in the sale. Mr. Tymon was appointed vice president and general manager, Specialty Papers, Interface Solutions  Inc. in April 2000. His professional background includes a role as a research scientist with Virginia Chemicals, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
